AssayBase collects as little as possible, and this page is short because of it.
Who is responsible. AssayBase is operated by Yurii Lazebnyi, a sole proprietor (FOP) registered in Kyiv, Ukraine, trading as AssayBase. He is the data controller for everything described here. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect when you request a list or sample. We store your email address, the time you gave consent, and your IP address (used only to prevent abuse). No advertising identifiers, no data purchased from anyone.
What is collected when you pay. To issue an invoice we collect your name, email address, billing address, company name and tax ID where relevant. The payment itself is handled by the payment provider named in the invoice, which collects your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see or store your card number.
Why. Your email is used for exactly two things: sending you the sample or list you requested, and occasional updates about AssayBase. Order details are used to deliver what you bought, handle replacement claims, and meet our accounting and tax obligations. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for their own purposes.
Where it lives. Your email and order records are stored in our own database on a server in Germany (Hetzner). Delivery emails are sent through Resend, an email provider processing in the EU, which handles your address only to deliver our messages. Links in our emails are click-tracked through Resend, so we can see whether the sample was downloaded. That is the only email tracking we do, and there are no tracking pixels in our emails. Payment data lives with the payment provider named in the invoice.
Website analytics. We run Swetrix, a self-hosted analytics tool on our own server, to count page views. It sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. Unique visitors are counted from a salted hash of IP address and browser that rotates daily, so nobody is stored raw and nobody can be followed from one day to the next. Nothing on assaybase.io sets a cookie.
How long, and how to leave. We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, then deleted. To have everything else deleted, email [email protected] and it will be removed from the database. No questions, no retention tricks.
Questions and rights. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. For any of it, write to [email protected]. A human answers.
