AssayBase collects as little as possible, and this page is short because of it.
What we collect. When you request a list or download a sample, we store your email address, the time you gave consent, and your IP address (used only to prevent abuse). That's the complete list. No analytics profiles, no advertising identifiers, no data purchased from anyone.
Why. Your email is used for exactly two things: sending you the sample or list you requested, and occasional updates about AssayBase. We do not sell, rent, or share your address with anyone for their purposes.
Where it lives. Your email is stored in our own database on a server in Germany (Hetzner). Delivery emails are sent through Resend, an email provider processing in the EU, which handles your address only to deliver our messages. Links in our emails are click-tracked through Resend, so we can see whether the sample was downloaded — that is the only tracking we do, and there are no tracking pixels in our emails.
How long, and how to leave. We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. To have your data deleted entirely, email [email protected] and it will be removed from the database — no questions, no retention tricks.
Questions and rights. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. For any of it, write to [email protected]. A human answers.
